Sibshops are for siblings age 7-12 who know a little about Down syndrome, but could use some healthy interaction with other siblings and have the opportunity to talk about their concerns in a natural - FUN - environment. Kids eat during Sibshops and are ready to swim at the Family Swim Party which follows!
Sibshops seek to provide siblings with opportunities for peer support. Because they are designed for school-age children, peer support is provided within a lively, recreational context that emphasizes a kids-eye view.
